Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame Mandar Chandwadkar who plays the character of Atmaram Tukaram Bhide has reacted to his death rumours which took the internet by storm.
The actor went live on Instagram to issue a statement about the rumours of his death which spread on social media. During the live session, the actor shared that he is hale and hearty unlike what's being reported.
Mandar in his Live video said, "Namaste, How are you all? I hope work is good. I am also at work. But there's news that someone has forwarded, so I thought to come LIVE before people get worried. On social media, rumours spread faster than fire. I just wanted to confirm that I am shooting and enjoying myself."
He added, "Whoever has spread the false news, I request him to stop it. May God bless him with 'sadbudhi'. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah's artists are completely healthy and happy. They plan to do a lot of work in the future for many years and entertain people."
Incidentally, this isn’t the first time the death rumours of a celebrity have viral. Unlike, Mandar, previously, several artists such as Divyanka Tripathi, Mukesh Khanna, Shweta Tiwari, Shivaji Satam among others have also been victims of a death hoax.
Recently, several reports suggested that Shailesh Lodha has quit the sitcom. However, the ETimes report clarified that he is apparently unhappy with the exclusivity contract and wants to explore other mediums.
Meanwhile, amid the reports of his departure from the show, the makers are trying their best to retain him on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma.
